This page mainly is an annotated collection of links to resources that I found useful for playing (or learning to play) World of Warcraft.
Knowledge bases
- Wowpedia
- My main source of information about World of Warcraft. Extremely useful if you need to read up on certain quests, instances, where to find characters, etc.
- Wowhead
- This database site comes second for me right after Wowpedia. The site's most useful feature are the user comments. I consult these if the corresponding Wowpedia article is out of date or simply does not contain the information that I seek.
- Thottbot
- Another database site with user comments. Somehow Thottbot seems to attract less relevant or useful comments than Wowhead, which is why I consult Thottbot only if I don't find anything at the other two sites first. If you have difficulty finding an elusive mob, Thottbot often has useful maps that indicate where the mob is wandering.
- Allakhazam
- Yet another database site with comments. For me this is merely a last-resort site if no useful information is available on the other three sites.
- Buffed
- A database site in German. I visit this if I need to find out the German name of something.
- noxxic.com
- Provides useful overview information about every class and talent build (spec), such as: stats and their priority, which gems and enchants to use, how to reforge gear, and which are useful glyphs

Feral cat
- The Fluid Druid's 4.0.1/Cataclysm Feral DPS Guide
- Very good guide that covers not only talents but also glyphs, enchants and reforging. As the title already says, the information provided is geared toward Cataclysm but may be still slighty inaccurate because the article is written with patch 4.0.1 currently active.
- Cat 101
- WoW Insider 101 article on the Druid cat form. The information provided is current for WotLK.
