Questions and answers

Do I really have to open the Galaxy Map every time I want to see a power's overview? 
The only other way I have found is in the Target panel: On the first tab at the bottom left there is a "Galactic Powers" entry that takes you to the Power Play main screen where you can select your power to see it's overview.
Are the rating bonuses cumulative? For instance, rating 1 gives a weekly bonus of 1000 credits, rating 2 gives a weekly bonus of 50000 credits, so do I get 51000 credits bonus when I have rating 2? Another example
Rating 3 for Aisling Duval provides access to Prismatic Shield Generators, but this bonus is not mentioned anymore in the description for rating 4 and 5. So does this mean that I can still buy Prismatic Shield Generators when I move from rating 3 to rating 4 (cumulative) or do I lose that bonus (which would be extremely weird, IMO, but would be along the lines of non-cumulative bonuses). :

How do I collect my weekly bonus? : On any starport, go to the Contacts section, select the Power Contact entry, then select "Claim Salary".
Can I collect my weekly bonus when I am not in one of the systems controlled by my power? 
  • Yes, just go to the "Power contact" screen where you will find the option to claim your salary, regardless of which station you are currently docked at.
  • I can confirm that this is true: I am pledged to Aisling Duval, and I am currently docked at Diaguandri, Ray Gateway, which is a system exploited by Li Yong-Rui.
Will I forfeit my weekly bonus if I don't collect it within the next week, or will bonuses accumulate over time?

What is a Power Commodity? 
Any kind of propaganda or other material that can be delivered to an uncontrolled system to prepare it, to a prepared system to control it, or to a controlled system to fortify it. In the case of Aisling Duval, all three of these activities involve Power Commodities, but with other powers one or more of these activities may require other actions such as destroying enemy ships.
Why does my Power commodity allocation not increase even though I have earned sufficient merits for the next rating? 
You advance in rating only at the end of the cycle.
When is a commodity a "high value" good? Systems exploited by Aisling Duvall have a greater production and consumption of such goods.

How can I find out the effects a power has on the systems it controls and/or exploits? For instance, Imperial Slaves are banned in systems controlled/exploited by Aisling Duval. 
Open the overview page of the power you are interested in, select the "Stats" tab at the top, then read through the "Exploitation Impact" column on the right-hand side of the screen.
Where do I see when I can collect my next Power commodity allotment? 
This can be seen only when you are in the Power contact section of the starport services AND this starport allows you to collect a Power commodity. In other words, if you are flying, or if you are docked in a system where you can't collect a Power commodity, you don't know whether or not the half-hour timer is already up.
How can I see how many other players have pledged support to my power? 
This is not possible.
If expansion is opposed, the text under "Opposition" says
"Expansion will fail unless increased above opposition". From the information presented it is unclear whether opposition raw numbers must be matched, or

opposition percentage. Which one is it? : Percentage.

Where can I see when the current cycle ends? 
Open the overview page of your power, select the "Expansion" tab at the top, then one of the systems in the list of expansion attempts. The details for the system will show a "Time remaining" entry, which I assume is the number of days until the current cycle ends.
What does the LY number displayed for systems in the Power overview screen mean? For instance, Karsuki Ti is 16.42 LY away from Cubeo (Aisling Duval's HQ), but the control tab in the Power overview screen shows the number 85.5 LY. 
The LY number is the distance from the current position, not the distance from HQ.
